TAKING YOUR PASSION TO THE MARKET

Let me introduce you to Karen Butler Curtis!

Karen is one of the fortunate women who has figured out what she are passionate about and has taken bold steps to incorporate this passion into her life.
Karen's passion is cooking, her Happy Place is her kitchen,
the product of choice is KICS Lemonade, based on an old family recipe.

So, what do you do
if you want to sell your lemonade (or any other goodies for this matter),
if you love chatting with people,
if you want and need to bring your children along for the ride and
if you want to support your local community?
Right, the market is the place to be.

Fourteen years ago Karen started selling lemonade at her local market in Port Coquitlam- all because she wanted to spend more time with her mother.

What started out as one market, turned into 12.

LOVE IT or HATE it: MARKETING NEEDS TO BE DONE!

Displaying FB-graphic.jpg

Fantasising about our personal, big, fat dream is one thing!
Doing something about it is a totally different matter altogether.
Let's pretend we kissed our own excuses and demons goodbye;
we started out on our journey of self- fulfilment!
What else is there to do?
We need to let the world know about our wonderful product or service!

And this involves marketing!
Personally, l have a love /hate relationship with this subject!
My straight talking, no-nonsense German soul doesn't grasp the concept effective marketing involves telling a sob story, having a rags-to-riches story or, I have subscribed to the wrong kind of marketers on the Internet.

My current experts are telling me I need a  cheesy, emotionally filled sob story to relate to my future customers or readers. And I dislike cheesy, emotionally charged stories. ( Told ya' I don't get it).

I am looking for easy, elegant, no-nonsense ways to convey my Motherpreneur message to the world!
So I un-subscribed from my marketers and booked myself into the

Canadian Marketing Summit

 At
The Airport Sheraton, 7551 Westminster Hwy, Richmond, BC V6X 1A3

I need help and I am ready to receive it!
The event organisers got me with this line:
Learn the cutting edge and advance marketing techniques from 18 marketing wizards and industry experts from around the world .

Ever since Harry Potter I have a soft spot for wizards. And ever since Harry defeated Lord Voldemort, I believe in their magic.

The speaker line-up looks fantastic enough (mainly Canadian and European) and if theses wizards can't help me, nobody can.

Ok, Ok, I love my eye candy! Here is the real reason I am going:

:
CEO of Jon Benson Fitness, Inc., Fitology, Inc., and 3X Formulas, Inc.
Jon is the creator of the Video Sales Letter everybody is using currently.

Thankfully my kids and husband know how to entertain themselves without their mother and wife around. A big kiss for them for letting me go to learn the inside outs of effective, non-cheesy marketing!

If you have the opportunity to come along during the event, please join me and hundreds of other participants to learn about the nuts and bolts of the industry.
If you do, I have a surprise for you!  I was able to score us a goodie:

The event is normally $297 and by going to the website and choosing the 'Early Bird Pass - General 3 day Pass' option with Promo Code  Motherpreneur you'll get it only for$97.

I am so excited to hear about the different ways to market myself, the Motherpreneur way! Yeepee!

Here is another reason why I am going. The promoters are using my all time, favourite word ever:

Get the tools, techniques and connections to raise your bottom line and become extraordinary at marketing your business today!
I look forward to seeing you there!Displaying FB-graphic.jpg

BEING CONFUSED? IT SUCKS BIG TIME!

From own experience speaking I know it is confusing to have too many choices in your life!

I call this my pre-menopausal midlife crisis.
Puh, that was exhausting. I drove myself, my husband and my boys crazy! Until - I made my decision!
It is true in today's world we can do whatever we want to do!
However, it only works if we are crystal clear about who we are and what we want to do!

Please let me share with you my journey:

THE QUESTHow Do I know what I really want to do?
How do I know what I am good at?

Some sort of midlife crisis can hit us any day - at any age! At one point in life we might feel fed up with our status quo and we think  "Wow, is that it?"

If we are ready to move on and away from our current position / job in life but we aren't sure WHAT exactly it is we want to do next, here are some tips to consider:

- Think back, what did you
love doing when you were a child? (i.e. hobbies)
- What got you excited? (e.g. going on a trip, buying new clothes, trying out the new recipe, taking swimming lessons, writing into your diary etc.)
- Who did you like to hang out with?
(e.g. The quiet, nerdy book worms or the extroverted party goers?)
- What are you attracted to today?
- What have you seen somebody else do that made you go WOW, how cool?

The secret is to combine the talents you have today with your passions as a child!

How to Create more Space & Time in your Life

ft. My Clutter Coach Kathleen Hatley:

Would you like to create more space in your own home?

If the answer is yes but you don't know what to do with all your stuff, then this episode on MOTHEREPRENEUR TV is perfect for you!

My guest is the amazingly organised Kathleen Hatley!
She makes it easy for all of us to let go or re-arrange the clutter we find hidden under our beds, in the cupboards, the garage, the drawers etc. in other words, everywhere!

Kathleen will guide us through the whole de-cluttering process, 'cause it's more than just throwing things out. it is dealing with it!
Enjoy this episode!

Isn't she just brilliant?
We chatted for an hour and Kathleen also went through our garage.

Here are some tips on how to create instant space in the garage:

- Purchase brackets and hang up your bikes against the wall! This makes for instant floor space!
- Install shelves for your must have 'collectibles' and add lots of hooks for wet jackets,
- If space allows, let your kids walk through the garage - this will keep your entrance area tidy and clean!

Three Blissful Ways to HAVE more Time

Honestly,
I could have given you the phone numbers of all private house cleaning services from around the world! But I didn't!
Why not?
First of all I was thinking you might already have help- and secondly,
I have the sneakin' feeling most of you would spend their additional free time in front of the computer, doing something on social media?
Please correct me if I am wrong and accept my apology if I am wrong!

I have something way better for you:
3 ways to change the way we think and speak about time!

1) It is all in the mind:

Treat time as your friend, not as an enemy!
If we treat time as a scarcity, we will never have enough!
The same goes for all other aspects in our life - e.g. money or finding a mate (partner)!
Have you noticed some people always complain they never have enough money? And guess what, they never have money!
Say to yourself: "I have plenty of time to do what I want to do!"

2) Fall in love with your new idea, life, project and yourself!
When you are in love your are passionate, motivated and crazy about getting started!

Remember the saying:
"If you really want to do something you will find the time, if not, you will make excuses."

3) Time goes by fast- and the older we get the faster it goes!
And most importantly, we will never get it back!
We are not getting any younger &
There is never the right time to do anything-
if we are waiting, we can wait forever!

Now that you know time is on your side and the best moment to start is actually right now, I am going to invite you to roll up your sleeve and start planning your next amazing project!
I know you will be amazing!
Just go for it ....I believe in you!

xoxo  Christina
